FC Sochaux have today confirmed the signing of midfielder Madger Gomes on a two-year deal.
The 21-year-old, who generally plays as a central midfielder but can also operate as a winger or fullback, has spent the last year at Leeds United but only made two first-team appearances, both in the EFL Cup.
The Alicante-born Gomes has also represented Spain’s Under 18 side on two occasions and before his spell at Elland Road had also played for Liverpool’s Under 18 and Under 23 side’s as well as Villarreal CF B.
Sochaux manager Peter Zeidler will be hoping the addition of Gomes will increase the squad depth at the Stade Auguste Bonal to enable a potential promotion push from Ligue 2 next season.
Leeds have recouped a small fee from Sochaux for the player.
